sippy cups
Re: sippy cups
hi, Juliana uses the Gerber ones too. They are hourglass shaped and have a top sort of like a "sport bottle". Juliana always liked drinking out of the sport style water bottles I carry. Also, don't fill it up all the way, 8 ounces of milk weighs, about- 8 ounces!! That is heavy for one hand. Now, of course, at 2 1/2, she can pick up the 20 oz sport water bottle with one hand and drink from it!!! BTW, I find that these cup don't leak very much and are easy to clean. I hate those playtex valve things, what a pain! I have found them at Toys R Us, but not at the supermarket. Hope it helps!
Re: sippy cups
since we are talking about sippy cups. we are cleaning out boxes for the yard sale. we opened up a box with maturinty clothes that i packed up 7 months ago. at the bottoms what did we find, a sippy cup! it still had sunny d in it. it was so gross. I geuss Jade dropped it in.
The First Years 2 handled cups
This were the best and a lot better than Playtex ones. There are no yucky valves to clean but it wont drip when turned over. There are two toned, base one color and lid another. Bright colors....pink/purple, red/blue, blue/yellow. etc... Found them at Walmart and Toys R Us, Kmart.
Very light unlike other two handles ones with the weighted bottoms. Our daughter was sucessful from the beginning. It is called Spill Proof Two Handled Trainer cup.

Re: sippy cups
Avent makes some sippy cup stuff. I have thin handles that slip over the neck of the bottle and a sippy cup spout that replaces the nipple, then it secures with the bottle ring. Ive also seen cups with grippers around the outside so they are not so slippery.
