A reply to what Crystal said, I agree that you need to have a meeting, you need to print, what needs to be printed from here. If you cannot explain then print everything possible from here. My son is in second grade......his teacher this year is GREAT !!! At the beginning of the year....I printed them all kinds of information and then sent it in with him the first day of school. the PE teacher and his classroom teacher were great and I do believe they both lurk about these boards now! the only one that wasn't receptive was the health aide. I don't think that she even took the time to open the envelope. Her loss, but if something happens everyone including administation would back me up, I gave them more than enough information to help them with my son. I would fight for my son to go back to school earlier, only because I think they need their friends too. Discuss it long and hard with the doctor. You are getting information from the "EXPERTS" the one's that have had the experience. Amy and Marieke are great girls.....don't forget also, you might want to go in or havae the teacher explain before surgery what is going to happen, and how your daughter should be treated, however, I think they should understand by third grade that this would justify a "HANDS OFF" policy.....Good Luck let us know how things work out !!!
