Katie is going to be Cinderella, which is Mommy's favorite Disney Princess and so far hers! We have all the accessories clean down to the shoes, crown, ear rings and matching blue sparkly nail polish. (OK, I admit, I go over board with these things......I'm a pageant mom at heart....ha ha ha!)

My one step-son, AJ, is going to be a police man complete with a blow up police car.

My other step-son, Tony, is being a farmer complete with a blow up tractor!

I, by popular request of my little ones, will be a bunny rabbit.

I'm not sure whose more excited, me or the kids!

Happy Halloween! Be Safe and Have Fun!!

Katie's Mom... you remind me of my daughter and niece... Halloween is the most favorite holiday...LOL.. They are in their thirties and it has never changed.

My grandchildren are all set...
Jessica 11 and 7 of her close friends are going to be crayons... the 8 pack... LOL..

Michael 7 is going to be a scary ghoul.
(can you tell he is the only boy..)

Katie 4 is going to be Cinderella ( my favorite Disney Princess)

Megan 4 is going to be Snow White

Grace 17 months is all set in her Medieval Princess with pointy hat and veils.

My kids make a big deal out of getting the kids ready for Halloween.
They have a big party at our Parish school tonight and all the children come in costume.
On Halloween all of the children trick or treat in town...all of the business allow the kids to pain the windows and have treats the kids love it.
Our town is full of the little cuties all dress up.

Kath, if you can, please take a picture of the "8 pack of crayons". That sounds too cute!!! Great idea.
I am 30 and really miss trick-or-treating. I give candy out though. I dress the house up, the front yard is cemetary complete with tombstone, cobewebbing, spooky lights and me!
This year though I may scale down as it is only me doing it, no help. So will dress up and hand out goodies!
happy Halloween to you all!

Just thought I'd share a funny.. When Chip and I had only been married almost 3 years we moved to a new place. I was so excited about maybe having trick-or treaters. We did not have any kids yet. I bought a ton of candy which at the time we could not afford. (Him in Grad school) No one showed up - I had the deco out , the scary music - I was psyched for these little trick or treaters to come to our place - and no one came - but next thing you know my husband- along with all of these trick or treaters show up at our door. Come to find out he had gone out and FOUND them and told them to come to us if they wanted great candy. He knew how much it meant to me! Pretty sweet of him. Thirteen years later - we get 275 kids on Halloween (different neighborhood and different state) and I spend a fortune on candy for all of them. I count the kids every year and last year was another record breaker! We are on a main street - usually 10 kids at a time and they come non-stop) while Chip goes out with the kids. Life changes and things get better!!:) Sorry If I bored y'all - just thinking about how much I love my husband!

WE just bought this new house and I am in the same predicament, how much candy to buy. I either buy too much or too little. I have four kids and they honestly get enough candy.....I do not really get into halloween but do it for the kids....now my kids 17,14,9, and 7 are about done with it too......maybe I will get off easy next year !!! Thank you Kara!!!
It was the funniest thing. I didn't even know that he had left - (he must have seen me looking out the windows and looking sad because no one was coming) and when my doorbell rang I was so excited (Whoo Hoo - trick or treaters!) and when I opened the door there stood my smiling husband along with all of these little dressed up kids screaming "Trick or treat!!" It's one of my favorite memories - and those kids sure got loaded up on candy! LOL Thanks for your reply and I hope that you have a very fun Halloween!

I heard kids down here in florida talking about dressing up as hurricanes. One said they were going to be katrina the other wilma. I told them that is a pretty scary costume...
