What an awful thing to happen to your son. The shock must be terrible, but it sounds like the surgery was done almost immediately which is very important. I'm absolutely no good whatsoever on video games...too old I guess; reactions aren't quick enough! I hope that the leads given here have been helpful...we are all thinking of him, and you, and I hope you can find peace and support in the days ahead. Please, if you can, let us know how you are both getting on.
Best wishes...Liz B xx

Hi....that's really a terrible thing that happened to your son, and I'm very sorry he was the victim of such maliciousness. I can only wish you the best with regards to his recovery. This message board is a great resource for support, so please let us know how he is doing.
Well....I'm not the one to play video games.....much, anyway......so I won't be much help in that area. Looks as if you've got some great info above though. The last time I played a video game, my six year old embarrassed me back into the stone age. Hard to crawl out from under the rock after something like that
)
Sincerely wish you both the best, and hope your son's surgery is most successful.

Hiya,
Sorry this reply took so long to do, but this is the controller i've got for a Playstation (one). Apparently it is available for the N64 and there are adapters you can buy for other systems (tho' i've not found them yet).
The controller seems very difficult to get hold of now, but this may be a starting point for you.
It does work really well on a lot of games, especially driving ones, is easy to get used to, looks kinda cool too?(or is that me being sad?)
Anyway here's a link:

Good luck, Stevie P.
