An EMG is any but pleasant. I had one when I was 6 years old and one I think when I was around 8. THis is to test the nearves reaction to stimulation. They insert little needles into the nerves and the send little shock waves to see if the nerve reacts. For me I was only bothered by the EMG when they reached my shoulder area where I have near normal sensation. The started by putting the needle in my fingers then gradually moved up my arm to my shoulder.
I hope that helps describe this test a little bit. That is how I remember it( that was 10 and 12 years ago)
I am glad to hear That Tess is improving, hopefully she wont even have to have an EMG. I am routing for her, best of luck with her recovery.
