Hi Marilyn,
From reading your posts on the General Board, I wondered if your Big Jav's injury was similar to my Jill's, severe LOBPI now age 21. Now, after reading this post it sounds similar. My Jill never had surgery. At that time because several doctors all told me she was SO SEVERE, and that you had to have something to work with for surgery, and she had NOTHING.
I imagine you have been reading along and already know I only pop in over the summer months, finding UBPN the summer of 2003. You have probably already read the one I bring back up each Summer http://ubpn.org/messageboard/thread ... msRange=15
Also, you might check out my post at http://ubpn.org/messageboard/thread ... hread=6351
It wasn't until I got on this site that I realized that my Jill was in the minority.....Supinated, and not able to Pronate. Since Jill's injury is also of her left Torso, she holds her left shoulder higher.....the reason for this is because the stronger right torso muscles are pulling her over, thus raising her left shoulder, since her left torso muscles can't counter act the pull. So WATCH for this, and the PT can give you help with that.
I think much of the above will answer many of your questions.....but if not ask away. My Jill is busy with college & her long time boyfriend....and does not consider her OBPI an issue for discussion. I did get her to go with me to the Annual Chicago BPI picnic in 2003 to see Dr. Nath, but that is that for now, regarding BPI as far as she is concerned.
Good Luck with you move....So much work! Angela
