Liz,
I think you came up with a great idea for the next TV reality show...TBPI Survivor. Twelve men and twelve women, all with tbpi injuries, on an island in Australia. No one-handed can openers, arm warmers, pain meds, etc. The winner gets a million dollars and the arm surgery of their choice. Where do I try out? How do you rub two sticks together to start a fire with only one hand?

Yeah Karl...! Terrific idea! I reckon we'd all come up with some amazing tricks and gadgets to get us sorted on an Aussie island...I'd definitely be up for it!
When can we go guys?? :0) :0)

Hey Karl, have the solution for starting a fire, it would take three of us to do it though, one to hold the stick and the other two to rub the stick between their hands. If survivor got down to two people and our fire had got out then we would be totally stuffed, not unless someone gave us a lighter or a box of matches as a bonus from a challenge. As for a place to go, maybe we could contact Mel Gibson and ask him if we could do a survivor on his island that he recently bought for 15 million dollars. It's somewhere near Fiji, not exactly Aussie land though.....regards Michael

Michael, how did you tie on the hook? Maybe I'm a wuss but I just can't imagine tying the hook, striking, getting the hook out etc with one hand, I guess as you say I'd need someone there. I think it's something I'd need to play with for a while, I think I'll wait til my kids leave home......:0)
Jamie, good on you for coming off the meds, it's a bloody tough thing to do. All available fingers crossed that you get thru this soon with all your marbles. I'll take you up on that invite to come on down one day, but looking at the map I think I'd actually need to come on up!
Have a good day all.
