have your tried those self-insulating sleeves/goves... the ones made with the far-infrared materials that are suppose to keep your body temp regulated at its norm?
You might find them at a ski shop or sporting goods place. Just an idea! Don't know if it's helpful or not.

Has anyone tried the handwarmers that walmart sells? We live in Illinois and my son who is 6 was always complaining about his arm being cold. I bought some on clearance a few years ago not thing they would help him but thinking my husband could use them when shoveling. My husband suggested trying to put one in Brandon's glove and it worked. He never complains his arm is cold anymore. Also when it's you know below zero I put one in his sleeve or his "HOODIE" pocket. I think they work pretty well. Try it and see what you think. You find them in the sporting good section. And they do not get hot enough to burn you !

Kath,
It is cold in Florida. We have been getting into the 40's. Today our high was in the 60's. I am in a sweat shirt. The wet cold is what bothers me. When I lived in Colorado the weather was tolerable.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Now we are expecting a BLIZZARD between noon tomorrow and Sunday.
All of my retired friends/family have escaped to sunny Fla.
Judy I think they brought the cold weather with them.

Judy - cracked me up! Get them out of Florida! When my sister visits from CO it seems to always rain ..... gees! Everything seems nice until company comes!:) Then the weather shifts and we all seem to suffer.... Company sometimes messes up the 'perfectness' LOL! It was 80 today and supposed to be in the 30's I think tomorrow - what the heck?? Go figure.... but I asked Britt and she does not feel the cold in her arm so that is good - maybe because she is too concentrated on her hair style, classes, soccer.... no time to feel the cold maybe - She will be 13 yrs old next month.... someday I wonder if when she slows down a bit if the cold will bother her though - we will deal then I guess - and I like Brandon's mom's idea about the warmers.
