Sounds like the Conwell Inn is not in a very good neighborhood. What about Holiday Inn, Is it in the good neighborhood. We plan to drive from hotel to the hospital.

I have always used Cindy's website to check out Shriner's info. Thanks, Cindy.

It's the hospital that is not in a good neighborhood. Conwell is in the middle of Temple University (literally) so it's OK in itself. But you can't walk from there to the hospital. Holiday Inn is in a better section, but you still have to get to the hospital which is still in a bad section. BUT the Holiday Inn has the pool and if you have a car there is more access in that particular area to shops and restaurants. If you have your own car, it would probably be best to stay at Holiday Inn. If you don't have your own car then stay at Conwell and taxi it into the hospital.
