Thanks for the reply. How old was your dd and how was her recovery?

she had the surgery when she was 4. she was in a body cast for 8 weeks and then in a brace for 12 more weeks. The worst part was she was in the hospital for a week and trying to get her to keep fluids down. once they took the IV out of her foot, she was a totally different kid. now she seems to be doing fine...she had plenty of therapy (aquatic which she loved) and now is almost 8.
