Hi
I am Kathleen and I am right OBPI. We have an adult/obpi message board on this site and we talked about pain issues.
I hear what you are saying about doctors and pain. All of my life doctors told my parents there was no pain with Erb's. Both of us knew it was not true and now that we adult/obpi have had a place to post and ask questions many (not all) of us have always dealt with pain issues.
I am glad you posted because it really helps to have others to talk to who really understand.
This is the link to a pain topic posted on the adult OBPI message board that might help you to understand that you are not alone.

If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me and I will help if I can.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
