I am a very recent traumatic BPI, about 4 weeks.
I knew that voice recognition was available but never thought how important it could be for me.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I am also new to this forum...found it when starting to do research on my injury.

voice recognition software
Re: voice recognition software
hey jacko!
as a bluddy colonist (canuck), i like speakin' proper henglish too! =o)
unfortunately, i'm not sure about changing the spelling. you'd have to ask their tech people. i don't like the fact that numbers are spelled out, but it's been a hand-saver anyway.
sorry i couldn't help.
hugs,
jan

Re: voice recognition software
hi pat and welcome!
although i've been RTBPI for 2.5 years now, i only found these boards about a month ago. what a source of strength and encouragement they've been! the voice recognition software will help - trust me. i was a secretary before my injury and HATED that i typed so slowly after it.
i will mention, though, start practicing writing/printing with your good hand. it's hard and will take time, but it's worth it. i taught myself to print with my left hand by doing easy crossword puzzles. i still find writing hard, but it gets easier each time.
