Anyone hear from Sandi yet?

Post by rachelcasa »

I saw the post that Sandi was leaving due to the hurricane and I'm sure she doesn't have access to a computer at this time. I was just wondering if anyone had recieved a phone call from her or something to see if she made it out o.k. Keep thinking about her and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you Sandi.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
Location: New York

I hope we hear from them and they are safe and sound.
My prayers and thoughts are with all of Texas and Gulf Coast states.

Hi Rachel, we are home safe and sound. Just a little shaken-up. It was crazy, but no damage to our home. We were in a minor car accident. I posted our rambling story on another post. lol Thanks for thinking of us, it means a lot to me! Camp was so great, maybe now I can think about camp!!! Sandi

Sandi...
I'm so glad you and your family are alright. Thank you for letting us know. Car accidents aren't good. I had fun at camp and wished I had more time to talk to you guys. Just glad your home safe and sound.
