No Biceps

Post by Paula »

Seems to me like Kathleen Z was right in my March 8 post about Aaron not using his biceps. I took a good look at his arms today and his bicep has not grown much at all. His forearm is almost the size of the other one I think. Like I said in my other post he cannot do hand to mouth sitting up he is 7 mos already. So, to others who have opted not to go with surgery and have cases similar to mine, have you seen any improvements? And others who have been in my position what was your outcome, was surgery recommended? I just want to know more or less what to expect at TCH on the 4th. Thank You.

A friend of mine has a child with bpi. He didn't achieve hand to mouth until about 18 months. Surgery was not recommended by their specialist.

Child is five now. He had mod/quad and caps. He may need caps again (I don't know all the details about that) and may have bicep lengthening.
