I am glad to hear your son is getting an MRI.
If you read more on this page you will see so many things we all seem to have in common.
It amazes me since each injury is so different in the way we heal.
I don't like anyone to touch my arm without warning.
When someone taps me on my arm, back or shoulder on the bpi side my brain seems to get a pain signal.
I guess its all the disconnected nerves.
I also have numb spots on my hand and forearm.
I have Horner's Syndrome and have numb spots on my face and neck.
I really hope you can get more information with this MRI.
I am glad you posted and let us know your reading and I hope it helps you to understand this very complicated injury.
Your son is maturing and during growth spurts my arm was more sensitive.
In fact as I was going through my "changes" I had so many problems I talked the doctor into letting me take B-12 shots.
When I was a teenager the doctor gave them to me for the shocks and stings and it helped then and now.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
