Thoughts and Prayers to those in New Orleans and surrounding areas.

Post by John K »

Just thinking about our experiences last year with the hurricanes and as bad as it seemed it was not even close to the devastation in New Orleans. I think of all the people at LSU and thier families and wish that they are safe and hope the have a speedy recovery back to a normal life. I was treated at LSU by Dr Teil and many others here have have seen him or Dr Kline. I hope the storm hasnt affected them but it looks like everyone in New Orleans has been effected, In the coming days and weeks they will be undergoing a major rebuild in thier city keep them in your thoughts and prayers and if their is anyway we as a group can help count me in.

Couldn't believe what I was seeing on my TV this morning...looked like a re-run of the result of the Indonesian tsunami...terrible.

I truly hope that New Orleans will be able to be rebuilt, and that all the many people who remained there have the strength of will to pick up the pieces and pull their lives back together again.

I hope that LSU isn't affected at all, or at least not too badly. It would be a disaster for many, let alone some of our BPI community if it was. Lets hope everyone affected by this disaster gets all the help they need in the coming weeks and months

I think I heard on a news report that a lot of students were evacuated Sunday to Texas shelters if they couldn't get out on their own (home).

I did find out today that if you make a donation online to the Red Cross, some companies will match your donation-- something to look into if you are thinking about donating.
