I can do my hair again now that my fingers dont hurt from surgery! I am so excited!! I though it would take me a very long time to be able to do my hair again but I am not even 6 weeks post op yet! I have only had the cast off for two weeks on Wednesday. So this is amazing to me, Now I can show every one at camp! Yay for me.

Hugs,
Amy

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Will you give a demonstration at the injured only round table? I am sure many of the little girls will enjoy watching... and we can all cheer for you.
I know your good at sport so wait till the kids see you doing your hair.

Kath I would love to demonstrate at the injured only round table, that is the least that I can do. I really wanted to do something for softball but that is not going to happen most likely although it all depends on how my hand is feeling by then. Camp is the week before I go back to my DR to see how much less I get to wear my splint, so by camp it should be pretty good but we will see. This would not be the first time I played with a splint, :) Shame on me right? This stuff takes time and I dont ever want to give it enough, cause I love softball!

Christy,
I wish that I could meet you also, You and Brittany sound like quite the pair. She is a very strong young lady. Maybe another time.

Hugs,
Amy
