Deleted posts

We have just deleted the thread, 'this just has to be said'. What began as a discussion erupted into something else. We will not allow these boards to be manipulated by those who post as guests for the purpose of disrupting this support network.

I am not suggesting that all guest posts have this end in mind. Most are caring and responsible.

We will continue to enforce the message board policy and will be watching guest posts carefully.

While we cannot get involved in private emailing, we are cognizant that attacks have been happening. We ask that emailing off line be supportive and not attacks on others.

I feel that the "peer review" post that should be deleted or otherwise worded as to not attack doctors or institutions, since it is in your policy that that is not allowed. I find it upsetting that post by certain people are allowed, but when we as parents try to defend our doctors or institutions it gets deleted. Those threads that were deleted by parents who didn't post as guest, but as people just trying to defend those who are not there to defend themselves. I feel that that is wrong. This board should be a place where parents can come to get support and ask questions about doctors, without people telling them that it would be wrong to go to a certain doctor, or that no surgery is wrong, or surgery is wrong, or anything like that. We need to be supportive of each other, nothing else.

Well said Nancy. I'm only sorry that once again you have been forced into this position. There are far more people who are sensitive and sensible who post here than the odd few who are intent on causing as much disruption as they can, and this will always be so, thankfully. You guys on the board are doing a great job.

Just to state it again for the record, because we are having trouble today, the board moderators will be interpreting the policy carefully.

If your post is deleted, it has violated the message board policy in some way. Remember please, they are trying very hard to keep conversations going and don't like to delete, but must if they determine the comments to have violated policy.
