I have to agree....there is no call for that, whether an injured child or not, but especially with an BPI child! Great advice above. I sure hope things improve quickly for your little one.

Last night when I got home from work the teacher called. She said in no way did she hurt or grab Sierra. She said a student had left the classroom while they were having a snack without permission (the principal found her in the hallway)and they had all the kids lined up doing a head count. Sierra ask if she could have a drink of water and she told her no. Sierra ask her 3 times. On the third time she told sierra in a stern voice you cannot have a drink of water and she put her hand on sierra's back not her arms. She said she could tell Sierra's feelings got hurt. So that's a 5 years old word against a teachers. What do you do? I believe Sierra I don't think she would make that up. She showed me how she got grabbed and it was by both her shoulders and she said it hurt. I told her teacher I did not want her touched in any way. She was in preschool for 2 1/2 years and never once had a problem and here it is the second day of school and we are already having problems. I gave her some of Sierra's history as far as her having surgery and everything she has been through. We talked for about 30 minutes. I made it clear at least I think I did. She was standing right beside the water fountain, the time it took her to tell her no 3 times she could have gotten a drink. I told her I didn't have a problem with her being stern or telling her no. I just don't want her touched or grabbed.

My daughter got her ear pulled in first grade by a substitute teacher.....in front of the principal this woman flat out denied it so, I believed the teacher and never went further with the whole thing.....so during the summer we were with my oldest at a high school function and this 5th grader came running up to my daughter and said,"Heather how are you?," and gave her a hug, puzzled I asked the little girl where she knew my daughter from......She Said," I was in the room when Mrs. !@#$@#$$$$ pulled on her ear....." I was livid. In fall I went back to the school where this woman substitute taught and I explained what happened. I can guarantee that teacher never ever taught in the district again.......Go with your child....no guilt later.....complain every day until you get your way......the squeaky wheel gets the grease !

GET YOU CHILD MOVED TO ANOTHER CLASSROOM!!!!!!

My son was humiliated by his teacher on the second day of school in 2nd grade. So humiliated that he ran to a corner and covered his ears and started to cry. My kids walked, so we met them at school, she brought him out(my hubby met them that day) and said he was a problem and she would be calling. We talked for a while and the next day I had an appointment with his neurologist (he has epilepsy). She said 'get him out'. She doesn't like him and never will. I said no, she had a great reputation.... WHAT A MISTAKE. He was humiliated by her all year and harrassed by another kid and she did nothing. Finally, he told me what was going on and I went to the assistant Principal. It was too late to change him then, but now, if something is not right, I know I am committed to having it changed.
Mind you, I am not of the "my kids should feel no pain, my kids are perfect, my kids should have the world on a platter" kind of parent. I am quite the opposite. I think there is a lot to be learned from dealing with a teacher you don't really like. However, a teacher who LIES is one I can't abide by. I think my son's teacher just did not want to deal with a child who might have problems in the classroom. Some teachers are like that.
