Back from vacation

Post by CW1992 »

Hey all,

We're back! Vaction in Florida was fun!! All those who live there - WOW! - it must be great!
We went fishing one day and Brittney caught the biggest fish!! Her dad had to hold her so that the fish wouldn't pull her overboard!! I saw a dolphin right beside our boat!! I claimed that as my 'catch'... We went to a water park and there was a ride where you hang with both hands from a pirate ship and then drop into the water - Brittney did it - I was worried - she wasn't - she knew she could do it - better than I could have - I was too scared to try - and then the co- carts - there was a spiral - the kids lapped me!! I was causious - I'll get them next time! Speed demonds - gees! I went slow... Anyway - I hope everyone is having a fun summer. School starts here in two weeks - but soccer and swimmining are non-stop... When does the MOM get a break?? One of my favorite signs that I read in Florida was " If Mamma ain't happy - nobody's happy" SO TRUE!! The summer has gone by so fast - and I hope y'all are having a fun one!!

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Do you WANT to know when the JOB is DONE and Mom's get a break!!!!
Ask me and I'll tell you NEVER...
When the cord is cut -- it is really only tapped with a magic wand that makes it invisible... LOL...

First its school, then college, then their work, then marriage, then babies and the cycle begins again.
I know you won't believe it but this is the easiest time when all your little chicks are in the coup.

It's when they spread their wings ( which we are supposed to give them) and fly... that is scary...

Thank goodness they bring home grandchildren to make us laugh again... LOL..

Glad you enjoyed Disney. We are going in Feb. all twelve of us.
The kids want to do Disney again together with us and the grandchildren to celebrate our 40th Anniversary...
and you wanted to know when you get a break
.... ha ha silly girl..
Hopefully never...

OK Kath! Yep I'm silly!!:) Just looking forward to a break sometime - I guess once you have a kid - it never stops - the cord is cut but they keep tugging at it - and then they have kids - (I'm looking forward to spoiling my grandkids - but hopefully with Britt only being 13 I have a few years - at least 10 I hope!! LOL!!) Sabrina has already picked out her man (she just turned 9!) LOL Help ME!!!:) It is nice having the girls in the 'coup' - I feel safe then with them home - but Brittney will be a 8th grader this year and that scares me! She's not scared - just me - I worry about her growing up so fast!

I hope you have a great time with your family at Disney - what fun!!:)

Thanks for replying Marlyn - I wish you a good year too!!:) Hope your summer was a fun one!!
