Botox and Internal Rotation
Has anyone used botox for internal rotation? I've read articles on it but I can't get any of the doctors that see my child to agree with it.
Re: Botox and Internal Rotation
We used botox on our daughter, but not for internal rotation.
The only doctors I know who are investigating this use for botox are Grossman and Price out of Miami Children's Hospital. Why don't you try contacting them? Go to the Med Resources directory on this website for their contact info.

Dear Null,
Our 5 month old son had botox injections 2 weeks ago, today he got his cast off. The botox injections are suppose to help with not only his internal rotation, but also help strenghten the muscles that he has not been using - which in turn helps decrease the internal rotation. In addition to that it is suppose to help let his shoulder bones form better. The bone formation is more of a theory becasue it hasn't been done enough or studied long enough to know the real answers.
My wife and I understand what you're going through, because we also had many questions and even more confusing answers. It took us over a month to decide to go through with it. Please contact us if you want more information on what we decided to do and where.
Where do you live and what type of doctors are you seeing?

Re: Botox and Internal Rotation
We used Botox on our baby and had no results whatsoever from it. Our baby suffered severe longterm consequences from having the botox injections. I would ask as many questions as you can and seriously think about what you could be doing to your child before agreeing to this.
