OK--I'm seein' Doc B on the 3rd--anybody who has been a patient of his please clue me in as to what to expect. How does the 1st visit go generally? Lot of Q & A--poking, prodding, make a fist, shrug your shoulders etc etc--or is there more of a dialogue about what happened, pain feels like...? What meds work, what triggers "episodes..." follow me?
Is there a lot of "lecturing" where you just nod your head a lot and then tht's it?
Any personal experiences would be great and also what subjects are "taboo" for instance--I know a Doc whose personal peeve is Zanax--hates it, won't discuss it.
Anything like that would be great.---Ronin

Eric-
Just go in with a list of what you want to talk about and Dr. B will follow your lead. I'm sure he'll ask when, how , how long ago. He'll ask you what movements you can do, what do you want out of your treatment with him, how bad the pain is, etc. As for meds, different things work for different people, so I'm not sure where that will go.
Just be honest and detailed in your description of your life. Be sure to include suicidal tendencies because that is a key reason DREZ is practiced.
As you posted before, nobody is going to do what you want but you, so tell him what you want and hold the reins and pray for a hell of a ride.
