I just got home a couple hours ago. Surgery went well although he did way more than originally planned. If it work he corrected the rotation in my middle finger as well as the tendon that was streched in my pinky finger, I think he fixed the hpyerextension in my middle finger and did the zancolli revision to all 4 fingers. I have a soft cast for a month then I go back and get it off and have a brace made. My cast leaves my hand totally unusable for any thing other than a paper weight. I am still really tired from anestesia so I will catch up later.
Hugs,
Amy

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Happy Healings...
Thanks for letting us know how you are doing. I hope you feel comfortable over the next few days and your hand heals very quickly.
So that you can get started back to your PT and will be able to show us your new skills at camp

Re: I am home from surgery
I am feeling pretty good. Pain is not too bad at all. I just need to keep my arm up all the time. I will be returning to work Monday so we shall see how that goes. But all in all I am doing great.
