It' me again.
I have another question?
I am going to neuro. tomorrow to find out why
gabapentin is not helping with pain. I am totally stressed out-hoping he will help and not just have me try more meds. and get to the root of the problem!!! I've noticed affected side is tensed up-drawing my face to shoulder. I have pain going up neck/shoulder area to head and it's weird I can hear alot of clickling/popping/snapping and the only way I can explain it that it sounds like something rubbing together.? STRANGE!! Seems to be louder than usual, too? BPI arm is cold as ice. Just wandered if anyone has this problem when stressed? Hope everyone had a GREAT holiday.
God Bless

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.
My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!
I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

Re: stress & BPI
Tracy, yesyes I have all mentioned pain/issues when I'm stressed. When younger, igorant about BPI totally, I ignored and paid a heavy price...Good for you to take care & research,& get treatment when some thing comes up. I joined a Woman-ony health club with a pool and a slow, warm water excercise 2X a week min. really helps alot. I have a slow baby crawl "swim" that really feels good.[I live in an apt. so a hot tub is out].
