Anyone ever go backwards after improvements?

Just wondering if anyone out there has ever declined or gone backwards after making inprovements....such as contractures comming back or shoulder problems....it forearm rotation or winging comming back etc.... My son is almost 1 1/2 years old and doing good so far but he still has pretty bad winging... and poor supination....also we wonder if he has total sensation in his bpi limb as he doesn't seem to respond to pain test as well as other arm...anyone out there ever experience sensation loss or numbness?? Please give us all input possible so we can learn as much as possible...we know wveryone is different but every bit of experience helps us learn. Thanks !!
