I can`t seem to get ahold of the doctor

Post by admin »

I have been trying to call Dr. Shenaqs office for awhile now. I sent the video tape to him in May and I haven`t heard from his office. I was told that they got the tape and the dr will review it and get back to me. Well I haven`t heard on what to do from this point. I leave messages and no return calls. I sent email and it came back as a bad address. I feel like pulling my hair out. Could anyone help me. I just don`t know what to do...Thanks for any help.

I also sent Dr. Shenaq a tape in March and never heard from the doc. I talked to the office a couple times and heard great apologizes and promises that I would hear from him, but never did. I finally gave up. There are other doctors who are very responsive so I have just gone to other ones.

i just had that problem, seriously. waiting for that appointment slip in the mail that never came, the phone calls, waiting for a call back. so i bugged and was ticked. and when the last call they said i had a scheduled appointment and when to come in. they said appointments are not in the mail anymore. why were we told to wait for one and never told they wouldnt? anyways taken care of and of course i will let them know when i see them on tuesday after 6 months! but it is not the doctors fault, it is the scheduling and not doing their job.

Well I finealy talked to Lisa...After I left a message stating that if they don`t want to call back and let me know what we are to do now concerning therapy. I told her that I need to continue with what needs to be done and not left out on a limb. So she faxed me my daughters records and so now I`m looking for a doctor in the New York City area or Philly. At least my family doctor is aware of this and she is going to help as much as she can. But atleast I did get a call back :)

Kim,
What about Dr. Kozin in Philadelphia? We see him and love him. He's been a great benefit for our daughter, Amber (ROBPI, 2 1/2 years old).

Why don't you just see Dr. Nath?

Susanlynn, I believe she said she was looking for a doctor in NY. Also with Dr. Nath you have all the insurance battles and if you dont win it all comes out of pocket. Texas is a little far for some of us.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

I used Dr.Rick Abbott in New York he is very nice.
He brought a bpi team to our last camp in NY and examined children all day.

The Inn at Beth Isreal has closed and he is not with Monefore Hospital in the Bronx.

I am an adult OBPI and have had no surgery.
