Hi everyone,
I haven't been on for quite a while because my computer decided not to work anymore and I just got around repairing it during spring break.
I am sad that new families had to join in because their little one has the same injury has mine. I feel good that they have found this board to help coping with the situation. I wished I had know about the show 20/20 because it would have on my priority list.
My son is Zackary and he was born in sept. 2000 with BP. We have been to specialists in Canada, to therapy. I am now existed to report that he is doing great. They don't see any surgery for him at this point. He has regained much more than they thought he would (he had only his fingers working at 4 months). He now uses the whole arm. The only thing that is hard and we are working on it is reaching above his head.
I hope that with this message I can give hope to new family but maybe my son is the exception. So don't stop therapy or going to a specialist.
Zack

Re: Zack
congradulatins on Zak's great recovery, there are many children who recover as well as your son, he is not the exception at all~ but I think its great to hear and share about it and that it uplifts the newcomers...dont ever hold back sharing about the function and recovery, it may be a beacon of light for those on a dark path ~
