Going to Johns Hopkins 6/19

Post by babyryd »

We'll be traveling from California to Baltimore for primary surgery with Dr Belzberg and Dr Redett on 6/19 (surgery on 6/23). Chase(7 yrs old,LTBPI)is now 3 mos post injury with no return, so it's time to go in and take a look. Any last minute suggestions/recommendations, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Lourdes, I wish Chase all the best. I will be thinking of him, all of you. I hope onece they get in there and explore, that its not so serious. I know you are going to be real busy, but when you get the chance, give us an update.

I know you will have a wonderful experience there. I like the food in Baltimore and miss having the crabs. Please say hello to Dr. Belzberg from Eric...they will take great care of you and be reassured that you are getting the best care. My arm works great and people I now meet don't know I ever had a nerve injury

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
Location: New York
