Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

I think we have all tried soooo many different ways to releive pain and have been disappointed with results. The mineral ice, at times, has helped. Thanks for that tip Kath.

I have wanted to post my latest results from what I have been doing, but haven't as I did not want anyone to think I'm trying to push or sell product. And I also wanted to wait until I had better results.

I always believed that that our condition could be helped by cell to cell communication that would help repair and restore. I'm in my 5th month of taking a dietary supplement that involves "glyconutrients" that helps support the immune system, and provides the cell to cell communication.

I can honestly say that I have (finally) seen some results. Our conditions, being chronic in nature, takes a lot longer to respond and I am a very impatient person, but I am sticking it out. First I noticed that my rotator cuff pain had lessened. Then I noticed a little relief from the stomach and acid reflux problems. Finally, last week, I began to realize that my erbs arm didn't hurt as much. Especially that deep constant pain. What a relief, I'm not saying it still doesn't ache or hurt, just not as bad. And right now, I can't use it any better, but lessening the pain to, at least a bearable level has been a blessing.

And until the cottonwood trees started shedding it's cotton, I had thought my algeries were better under control. I'm waiting now, to see/feel lessing pain from the osteo porsis (sp) and osteo arthritis not to mention all the other quirks.

After years of trying everything I could ever think of, including med scripts, and several various self healing techniques, I really hope I am on to something.

If anyone should be interested and have questions, please email me privately as I am not trying to sell product. I am an associate member, but only because I get product cheaper that way. I count on a friend of mine to answer my questions as he is far more knowagable than I and he has exerienced far greater results (non erb problems)
PS seems like my posts are always "long" in nature. Guess that means I like to talk or that maybe I need to get a life. LOL LOL.

Sorry I haven't been able to pop in before now. Thanks for all the advice. I'm trying some of the things out. Unfortunately I'm now waking up every morning in major pain not only in my OBPI arm but also all through my upper back. It takes about 2 hours before I can move without the major pain. I'm asuming that it's from overwork of both of my arms. But there really isn't anything I can do about that. I already feel like I'm letting my kids down because they spend so much of their time in the bouncy seats because I can't hold them.

I want to try to seek help but things are real screwed up with my insurance and doctors right now. So for right now I'm just trying to cope as well as I can.

You know, I've never felt the affects of my OBPI as much as I do now.

I'm a new mom of a BPI baby, and Kath suggested I read some of these posts on pain after we were discussing B12 on the general board... i saw hot tub mentioned here.

You guys may have already figured this out... for those considering a hot tub, ask your doctor (or PA or NP) for a prescription for one with your diagnosis written on it (ie. chronic arm or back or neuropathic pain, whichever applies to you) because you will be able to buy the tub tax free. That can save you a few hundred dollars!
