Hi,
I am on look out for any equipment that may help with independence. I know someone who has a bilateral BPI and obvioulsly has difficulty in doing all activities. If anyone knows any equipment out there that would help, knows someone who has expertese or has any web sites to browse through, I would be grateful if you could let me know them. Thank you.

Re: Equipment for independence
I did a Google search and found this web site
http://www.spinalcord.uab.edu/show.asp?durki=19679
There is a lot of info to wade through, and sometimes it seems to go into Wheel chair need.
When I clicked into OTHER ISSUES I brought up info on helper animals......a monkey.
Specific to my state there is a place in the Capitol City that has an Assistive Technology Center where you can even go and try out, borrow etc the items. When I needed something for my daughter to try out, they didn't have it so they bought it and I kept it in My home for a month or more on loan, to see if it would meet her needs. Then I returned it by mail.
