Hi everyone...
Well, I'm not sure why this happened, but I have not even come to the boards since October! I went to camp and had a great time, but it was also so emotional...I think I just did not want to think or talk about BPIs!Plus, Christmas was nuts, my daughter Katie was hospitalized for respiratory stuff in January...Idid try to log on once, but the connection was down or something...lame excuses I guess!
Josh is doing great. Ulnar fingers still weak, but improving slooowwly. Here's the thing though: he is beginning to say things to me like, "these fingers don't want to work right Mommy". (He'll be 4 at the end of June). It is a real killer.
ANd...we are getting closer to our depositions, hopefully. This leads me to my main question: Who has Ken Levine as your attorney? If you do, can you please email me your phone number? Thanks.
It looks like I missed the 20/20 show on BPIs! I remember that they were going to run it in October, but it was nixed because of 9/11 coverage. Francine, if you're reading this, how can I order a copy? Or did anyone make a copy who'd be willing to make me a copy? (I'll pay for it and S&H).
I'm glad to be back, read posts from those of you I "know", and know that this place (with its new and improved look) is still here for me...
Lastly, does anyone have any tips on logging in? I tried to enter a user name and password, and it kept telling me that it was invalid....so I'm listed a "guest"...
Thanks for reading!
Amy
I'm Back!
Re: I'm Back!
Welcome back Amy,
I think we all need a break once in a while, I know I certainly have. Also sounds like you had a busy time, so I don't know how much of a break you actually got. It's really sad at Josh's age when they start realizing the affects of this injury. My daughter is 4 and is just starting to realize that having an injured arm isn't the norm. We just went back to TCH and I was preparing her for another surgery and she started asking things like "mommy when you were a baby, did you have a surgery"?, then she asked that of all of our family memebers and her friends. It's a hard conversation to have with your child. The good thing is -is that Josh has an understanding and compasionate mom who will help him deal with this.
