Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
Location: New York

As I mentioned we will wait until the voting slows down. In the past week alone the voting has brought different items to the top so it is not yet clear what the winner will be!

In the meantime, we are investigating prices and possible vendors, so we aren't just sitting back and waiting.

Here's a question for UBPN, if you look at the combined # of votes for the ribbon and ribbon/bell comb., it's more than the # of votes for hand, meaning that more people are intersted in the ribbon idea. However, if you just look at each individual category, then the majority of votes are for the hand shape. So, does the hand win if the #s don't change? Hmmm... Just thought I'd complicate things a bit. O:)

Seems like if we already have the ribbon/bell for awareness, we should be consistent with the magnet.

I think the ribbon idea is better, because I know for a fact that the ribbon symbol always makes me look to see what they are trying to call my attention to. The hand is great but I think the whole BPI thing raises more issues than just a hand or a arm. And how many times have you heard. Oh, you should be lucky it is only an ARM!

I like the ribbon and hand idea, but there are so many ribbon colors out there and I dont think people take the time to really figure it out or ask about it anymore. I actually think the hand would draw more attention...there are no hands out there, but hey, my way of thinking may be different. :)
Whatever the outcome...I cant wait to get one!

The Board of Directors has decided to close the poll in one more week, on Feb. 18. They will be meeting as a Board at the future camp site the following weekend (Feb. 25-27) and will look both at the poll results and the possible pricing/vendors to see what all the options are.

So you have one more week in which to cast your vote. Thanks again for all your input.
