Krista, We might be there on Sunday. Danielle is having her surgery with Dr. Waters on Thursday, Jan 20. I don't know when she will be released. She's having a rotational osteotomy. If we are still there I would love to see you and thank you in person for all your help. Without this group I would be a basket case lol. - Dawn

I don't work Mondays and would love to meet you and Ella. Let me know, and I can drive up from the Cape.

Dawn, You can email me and I can give you my cell phone number. You can call me if you will be there. :)

Amy, That would be so cool. I must warn you though, last time Ella had her MRI is was awful and we had to leave right after the MRI and cancel Dr Waters appt! She had a bad reaction to the meds when she woke up and basically threw her body and screamed the whole time. Dr Waters's nurse just told us to go home...it was THAT bad! So, what I should ask you is how long of a drive would it be for you? What time would you have to know by before you leave? I think she will be fine this time b/c she is older and such, but JUST IN CASE! Her MRI is arrival of 7am and Dr Waters appt is at 10am. And I am almost positive that Jeff and Hannah will be there also since we are spending Sunday night at the hotel. Email me about it.

This is exciting! I would love to meet up with everyone if I could. :)

Dawn,
I forgot to add that I totally know what you mean about this group. This is where I learned all of my info and actually was able to get support just several days after Ella was born. It was amazing to me to hear from all of the mothers who knew exactly what I was talking about. This place holds a very special place in my heart. Thanks to all of you guys. :)

Good luck Dawn and Krista,

I just called the hotel and booked our room for our follow up for Michael. Unfortunately we aren't going until February 27th for his appointment on the 28th(his birthday). His recovery from surgery in the beginning was slow, but now we are seeing much more improvement.

Krista,

Yeah, one year post-op for Ella. How are the improvements? I hope the f/u MRI goes well. This is a very exciting milestone for her. We just completed the ACR with Dr. Kozin on December 6th and now wear the brace. Good luck to you all. Have a safe trip and I pray for excellent reports from Dr. Waters.

Hi Krista,

It will take us a little over an hour to get there (give or take for traffic). What time were you planning on heading back to CT? If you want you can call me when she gets done with the MRI to let me know if I should come or not... I really don't mind the drive as I'd love to meet you all. I could also come up anyway and if she has to go... then she has to go home. She is #1 and the drive isn't bad at all... just let me know either here or in our other forum.

Hi Amy:

We usually head back to CT after lunch. So usually around 1pm or so. We usually try to get back home by 4 pm and its about a 3 hour drive. (We try to avoid the rush hour traffic in Hartford CT)
Anyway, it's up to you if you want to take a chance. Something tells me that she will do okay, but when you meet her she probably won't be herself at all. Groggy and just out of it. I forget how long it lasts. Actually, she seemed "drunk" until she went to bed last MRI. I can call you if you want too, after the MRI. I will talk to you over next weekend before I leave and let you know what we can do or what you want to do. Sounds confusing to me now, but we can make it work. :)
