I am sure you are jumping for joy... now watch Thomas go!!!!

As the mother of 3 grown children I can tell you not to worry... I never crawled... and I think I am OK !!!!

So happy for you both

I am so happy for your son, too. I thought my son would never be able to crawl, but he did it at about 10th month, initally crawl like an arm man.

Crawling is very important for them, they are bearing weight naturally on their own. I never encourage my son to walk because of this. He finally standed up to walk on his own when he was 14 months.

My therapist said crawling helped him to have good functions.
Best wishes, Jenny

Slow and steady wins the race! Go Thomas, Go! Michaela never crawled till she was 4. Didn't have enough strength for weightbearing on the left shoulder. She did this side saddle scoot around the house and walked at 10 months, I think because she couldn't crawl.Anyway give him big, big, hugs!!! LeeAnne

Yippee! How exciting!:) Brittney was also 10 months old when she started crawling and I was also so relieved when she finally could do it. Thomas will be sitting before you know it - then walking, running....look out here he comes!!! Personally I think that I let my worries sometimes get in the way of just enjoying Britt as a baby - I couldn't help comparing her to what the other kids her age were doing - but now that she's 10 it sure doesn't matter at what age she crawled or walked - she did it when she was ready to and in my heart I knew she could do it all along.
For some reason I picture Thomas wearing a little green camoflouge outfit!:) Go Thomas Go!

Congratulations to you and Thomas. That is a big accomplishment. Enjoy him while he is still in the crawling stage because before you know it he will be into everything that is not nailed down. Great job Thomas.
