Francine posted a way to make ginger oil on the general board.... I did it I tried it and if felt so good.
My "good" arm is so bad I can hardly move my arm and fingers I think it is ulna nerve... So I am off to see the Neuro... again... but in the mean time I am taking 600 mg. of Motrin 3x a day and I had nothing to loose..
So I sent Ralph to the store for a small piece of ginger... of course he brought home a ginger tree!!!!
I'll have enough for ten years... and sesame oil...
You need to use a cheese grater for the ginger... I used the hand held Bruan chopper.... but it in some Cheese cloth ( I keep it in the house in case I have a Martha moment) squeezed it into the oil.. mixed it again rubbed it on the "good - aka horrible arm" it felt warm and nice.... so I put it on the bpi arm and my warm felt a little warmer during the night while I slept... it did not feel hot just not freezing... will try it again... it did feel and smell better then Mineral Ice...
Now can some one tell me what to do with the rest of my Ginger TREE!!! how many things can I make with ginger... LOL...

Francines Ginger OIL helped me!!!
Re: Francines Ginger OIL helped me!!!
I'm so glad it helped!!! We have been using that oil since our son has been about 4 months old. It really loosens up his arm as well. We have never been brave enough to make it on our own(we have our acupuncturist prepare it)

Cindy - it is SO easy to grate ginger that you will laugh the first time you do it.
Kathleen..... if you can, have your husband grate the ginger with the cheese grater... because it creates a tremendous amount of juice.... rather than chop or puree...it's just not the same. You'll see what I mean once he does it. You'll be so surprised at how much juice comes out of one inch of ginger!!!
about the rest of the ginger...have him make juice...and put some in yout bath at night...
or put some in hot water and dip a washcloth into for a ginger compress....
or put some in some tea...very little though...
or add some to stirfry
happy gingering!!
