tricep twitching

Post by Carrie »

Ok, I don't know why, but my tricep in my bpi arm has been twitching all afternoon, has anyone else experienced this?

Carrie,
I get twitches all the time, esp. when I am tired or if I have done something for an extended period with a muscle I don't usually use often. Driving for instance. If I drive for a long period of time with my bpi arm on the wheel, then my triceps will twitch the next day.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

When I use my arm to much it will twitch for a bit.

It goes away as quickly as it started. It does not happen to often anymore but then again I tend not to over work it anymore.

I get twitches in my arm too. I used to get shocking electric pains as well. It's your muscles trying to wake up I think. Take it easy and see what happens.

Thanks, but I think it was just stress. I don'tthink the muscles are trying to wake up because they've been dead for 23 years. Anyway the twitching stopped after a couple days, with no tingling or numbness, so it'll all be ok I guess.

I'm glad that you are feeling better. It is the strangest feeling though isn't it.
