We finally made it to TCH yesterday, Monday. Brittany is going to have surgery on March 11. She is going to have the bicep lengthing and Dr. Nath is also going to have to do a procedure on two of her fingers. I don't know what the procedure is, but she is having some swelling in the tunnels of her fingers and he is going to have to go in a fix the tunnels. Sounds to me, something similar to what I had done when I had carpal tunnel syndrome and had to have surgery. Dr. Nath called the popping or slipping in her fingers, trigger finger. As far as the reddness and blisters on her hand he has no idea. We have an appt with a dermatologist Thursday to see if they may know what is going on.
Anyway, is anyone out there going to be at TCH on March 11? Let me know if you are.

Kimberly....
about the redness and the blisters... I highly suggest an acupuncturist for this. Blisters is excess heat exploding through... if this is happening on her bpi side it's quite possible that her heart or heart governor meridian is having an out of balance condition, causing the blisters. Could even be from the bpi or from scar tissue blocking it. I know that sounds way out there but eastern medicine is so totally different in concept that it's hard to explain without it sounding way out there.
The acupuncturist may not even want to needle her - may just give her some herbs to 'cool' her system a bit.
I'd be happy to explain more if you wish...

I also would recomend. Matthew didn't have any problems like that but his scar was a bit red at the u point in the incision. After one treatment it went from red to pink. )

Kimberly;
Just wanted to wish you good luck on the 11th. My son Justin had bicep tendon lengthening on 1/23/02. He is still in the splint but handled it fairly well. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
