1 Year Ago Today...
James had his accident. Thank God for saving ihs life. Thank GOD for giving him to us. I cant help but feel awful and thankful at the same time. He has such a struggle even without his injuries and I cant help but worry about him. I love him, tell him and show him everyday, and cant help but worry about him, but somehow it just doesnt seem enough. Just feeling a little emotional right now.

Hug him. Love him. Be patient. Never let him go.
And take good care of yourself.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Wishing you and James all the best!
I don't know what to say other than keep on doing what you are doing and encourage James to talk with other TBPIs.

Lot's of prayers to you both. Adam's one year anniversary was October 31st of this year. He also had a hard battle for his life besides his bpi. Instead of being sad that day we decided to call it his re-birth day and we all ate pie : ) We hope you guys the best!

Priscilla,
Love him, be with him and never give up on him. Ryans accident is over 4 1/2 years now and everyday we are so thankful that all he can't use is his left arm and hand. But we still can talk to him, joke with him etc.
My very best to you and James.
Hugs, Karen

Hi Priscilla, I too thank God for James' life for you. I know how you feel, I too thank God everyday for saving Michael's life. I am sure you will get through everything, just like we all do. We are parents we will be worrying about our children until our dying day, and I am sure James knows how much you love him. You have every right to be emotional...heck I got emotional just reading your post....because our family can relate too to what you are feeling. Take care, God be with you and James and your family.
