I thought I'd spend a moment in here not talking about BPIs or arms at all. Rather, I'd like to share and encourage others to do the same a few of the funny things that Nicole says lately. I really enjoy being a Mom and hearing some of the things she comes out with and would love to hear what some of your children / grandchildren come out with. Be sure to include the child's age(s) so we can get a full appreciation for it.
Nicole is 2 yrs, 11 mos --
When I say, "Come on" Nicole says "I'm coming on."
She says "That looks like a good idea."
Another thing that cracks me up is that when someone says something that's funny, she laughs outloud along with everyone else like she gets it too even though she has no idea what everyone else is laughing at.
When she poops in the toilet, sometimes when she flushes the toilet, she says "bye bye, poo poo, see you in two weeks." Sorry, is that TMI (too much info.)? I have no idea where that one started either.
Finally, she often says "actually,..." now and that just cracks me up to hear her say that (I know I often say it so I know where that one comes from).
Okay, looking forward to reading some other funny remarks to brighten everyone's day here!

Tina, that is so cute. It's nice to enjoy the little things especially when it's something you know they copied from you. Michaela does this thing of putting her hand on her hip all the time when she really means business. I never realized I did it so much until she started doing it. My husband thinks it's funny. Michaela used to say Bye bye to her poop too. "Bye bypoop round and round you go!" She's only 5 and I already miss those toddler things. Enjoy your kids. We all know tomorrow they'll be grown! Blessed with little person, LeeAnne
Re: Funny Things Children Say...
Tina - so I think Maia got the "actually" thing from Nicole! She's been starting sentences with -actually- and -usually- probably since Houston!
"Dadda- are you going upstairs to play your comptar?" (guitar)
"When I am a Mommy I will have a baby come out of my bellybutton too, right Mommy?"
The little girl who I thought was really speech delayed has 'come out' since her surgery! Thank goodness.

Hi Tina...the poop thing that Nicole says is REALLY cute!
It's funny you should post this today. This afternoon, my little Alex (2 1/2 years) was playing in his room while I was getting supper ready. He was singing and having a good ole time. I heard Mitchell go into his room and then I heard Mitchell say "um, mom, you might want to come in here!"
I walked into Alex's room only to find that he had emptied a FULL bottle of baby powder onto his shelves, his tractor and trailor, his floor and himself! He looked at me and happily said "Look mom! It SNOWED!"
It was the funniest thing I'd seen in ages! I took lots of pictures and had a big vaccuuming session.
Have a good weekend,
Missy

Ha! That reminds me of when Kim was about 2, she had a stuffy nose and was really bored being in the house. She woke me up to "wook Mommy, it's snowing and schnicking too!
Katie's big thing right now is "oh honey, what happen" and "it's mine, its mine" when I change a dirty diaper.

Re: Funny Things Children Say...
my 6 yr old son Douglas wanted pancakes for breakfast and since my usual pre made hungry jack frozen pancakes from the store were all gone, i told him it would take a few minutes because i had to make them from "scratch" today. and he said "well how long does it take to scratch them?""
We also use our kids language around the house,
hammaburger=hamburger
remokamatrol=remote controll
its darkin here= its dark in here
hannah age 3 dosent say her "C" so its
always toat=coat otay=okay
and the best one was when doug was little my dad came over and he was in the high chair and my dad was right by me and I was getting doug out of the seat and he started screaming"Bunka-Bunka" do it.
I was like whos "Bunka"? and he pointed to my dad. and everyone calls him that now.
and my moms name is Virginia- so the kids call her "nan- na ginna" or just "ginna" Oh yeah, and hannah calls her little bother stevie-"steedee" so we catch ourselves calling him steedee too.

Re: Funny Things Children Say...
Tina, Your post was a great idea...such cute little things make us smile big!
My 2 1/2 year old, Hannah, comes up with some pretty funny stuff! The first thing I could remember was from when she was just learning new words. She was eating a hot dog and I asked her..."what are you eating now?"
Her reply..."a hot ruff"
She always imitated doggies by saying ruff so I guess she thought it wasn't a hotdog, it was a "hot ruff"!
She also says goodbye to her poops! We just finished the potty training thing about a month ago, thank god, and now after she goes she has to flush herself and say goodbye.
When she wants to drink her milk she says, "mommy, I need my milk now to make my bones and head strong!"
Not sure where she came up with making her head strong, but I thought it was cute.
One more cute thing she does is when she looks at her shadow, sometimes she tells it to go away. She likes to look at it and just move around and watch it, but then when she is tired of it she says, "mommy make it go away...get it off of me!"
Thanks for your post Tina, a cute idea!

Re: Funny Things Children Say...
I love your post! Gabrielle is still not saying many words (21 months) but she does laugh along with other people, the radio and television. You know she does not have a clue what we are saying (or does she?) She does say I love You, but when she says you she points to herself and gives a big smile.

Thanks
I really needed something like this tonight! It has really lifted my spirits.
Rosalynn's cute things she says:
When daddy has to close at work and isn't in bed when we go to sleep she will look under the pillows and comforter and say "Daddy all gone"
When she wants to do something diferent she says bye bye examples are when she is eating and is done or when she doesn't want to do what her PT is doing
The funniest happened this weekend. Rosalynn has been saying "good girl" for a couple weeks. we got girl scout cookies and I made a big deal when my hubby brought them home (I was jumping up and down going yeah girl scout cookies) We all had a couple including Rosalynn. a couple hours later she gets the box off the table, brings it to me wanting me to open it saying "Good girl cookie, good girl cookie...."
