back from gone with the wind
It has been a tough time in Florida lately. We evacuated Frances, but stayed for Jeanne. Jeanne was much worse. We lost electric for a week thru both storms. You know you are in trouble when you see the weather channel crew in your town. Our house survived. We had a roof leak and minor damage and alot of landscape damage. I can't remember how many trees we cut up.I feel very fortunate. One of my friends who has a daughter the same age as my daughter lost their house. A few houses on our street look unlivable. The stores have milk. We were out of fresh food for awhile. I did feel the need to up my med dosage during the storms. I always have had trouble with my arm when storms move thru. Has anyone heard from angry parent? I was wondering how he made out thru thew storms. I guess I will catch up reading the boards......Judy

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

I am so happy you are back on board and let everyone know how you are doing.
I think it is so horrible for all those who have lost so much and there was nothing that could be done to prevent this damage. My heart goes out to them.

Judy,
Good to see you post. Sure has been fun living in Florida this Hurricane season! We also have roof damage. Ours actually came from Charley. For us in Osceola County we were hit hard by Charley and Jeanne. I have been calling roofers all day. We are looking at several months before we will even be able to get anyone out here to look at the roof. But, that is okay. We were blessed and survived with minimal damage!

Glad to see your post, Judy, and to know y'all are okay!
I'm sure there is a lot of clean-up and I'm sure you all are tired, etc. Give everyone our (from my family) and take care! Here's hoping that no more hurricanes come your way!!

I am glad to hear your family are OK...
You guys have really been hit.
My brother was not in Fla this time of year. So they lent out his house in Melbourne to so people who had to be evacuated from the beach. He only had a window blow in.
I hope you get roof help soon
