Hand Problems

Post by admin »

I am wondering if anyone out there has had any problems with the hand. Brittany's hand on her palm, is always red, she has blisters, infections under her nails, and is now having ligament problems (slipping)in her fingers. We go see Dr. Nath for these problems tomorrow, Thursday, but I am just wondering if anyone else has dealt with issues like these. Her therapist is thinking that it is some sort of compression going on in there, maybe something similar to carpal tunnel syndrome.

Matthew has not had any problem like that to date. The only problem he had was his hand was colder than the other. It's the same temp now. Please let us know how you make out.

Yes Jameson has all this and more. he recently started rubbing a hole in his own thumb with his for finger....He told the doctor the other day he wanted to rip off his thumb....it alway bothers him. He can pop his knuckes at will(without using the other hand) and I have to get on him for it because the doc said that isn't good for him. The ligaments are loose or something...more likely an imbalance in pull between the muscles.
I have no answers...wish I did....it can get discouraging.

Hi Kimberly, My six year old daughter also has slipping in her fingers, and she always has them in her mouth. I would love to hear what Doctor Nath says about it. To date none of her Docs. have said anything valuable about it!

Hi Kimberly,

I was looking for you at TCH on 2/12 when we were there but I guess you didn't make it?

Anyway - Dr. Nath when he came out of surgery with Alyssa on the 11th, he talked alot with us about her future etc.. One thing he did mention was that Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is something she may develop. However, he did say that it would be later on in life. Please keep us posted as to what his response is!
