I've been told that it's temporary and that it will look much better in several months or more. I hope so because right now Maia literally has no shoulder definition. I trust and have faith however in our doctor's work so I'm not in a freakout.

Yes Katie's is looking better every day, but is still droopier than before.

BTW--she is moving the shoulder joint some where she never did that before--it was always a chopping with her back.

Yeah katie. Looks odd after almost two years.

Bailey's shoulder pulled forward before the surgery now it is back more but it slopes down. I do think it is already a little better though. I am hoping that is just from lack of use. Hope this helps.

I just attributed it to post-op / splint weakness. I'll findout more when we do Nicole's 3-month post-op video soon though. In Nicole's case, what we were looking at the Caps helping was the shoulder position in general and how it held her arm. That has improved b/c Nicole holds her arm in neutral now -- before she held it more pronated. I know this doesn't help b/c Nicole's situation is very different than Peyton's. Nicole can lift her arm above her head (not to 180o yet, but it's up there), but she cannot supinate. So, I don't know how much our experience will really help you. Sorry. -Tina :o)
