Feeding A 13 Month Old in a Hotel Room

Post by Julie »

Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to feed our daughter in the hotel room. We are going to stay at the Holiday Inn and will have a suite but I'm sure they won't have a high chair that we can use. (Last time we were lucky to get a crib!) We don't want to bring a booster seat/with tray that we can strap to a chair unless we have no other choice. We have enough stuff to carry as it is! What have other people done? Thanks for any input.

katie wasn't quite one and we covered her stroller with towels and used that to feed her in..but she wasn't feeding herself at that time either. maybe you could ask if you could run down and get a booster seat during her meals and then take it back down? that sounds like a lot of work but better than trying to drag one more thing along. Or perhaps one of those lap trays that fold pretty flat and would fit into a suitcase easily.

Hello,
We used the car seat. Since we had to bring it along, it came in handy for feeding.

You know what Julie - I'd call down there - if you are already getting a suite they might just oblige you by providing a high chair too....one never knows unless one tries! I'm curious to know.....

good luck,

Thanks for the ideas. I think I found a great solution. I found an inflatable booster seat called "On-the-Go Booster Seat" made by The First Years at KMART. It is for kids 12-36 months and has an inflatable seat. It is supposed to strap tto most chairs so we are going to try it out at home to make sure that it will work for Renee. If not, I will definitely keep all your ideas in mind. Renee is at the age where she feeds herself and she makes quite a mess so that is why were really need to get her up to a table or have a high chair. I'll let everyone know how we make out.

When Blake was a baby, we used his stroller since we took it with us anyway, we sat on the floor and it worked great!!!Good luck!!
