The best way to start training your bicep?

Post by diargasm »

I had the oberlin procedure done on february 17, 2004 and around May 20th I started noticing that I can activate my biceps. Since then I haven't really got much progress in terms of function. I don't see my doctor until August 16, and until then I want to work up my bicep. My biceps flex whenever I bend my pinky and ring finger, whenever I bend my wrist, and a tiny bit whenever I spread my fingers.

I can't lift my arm against gravity, but it works when I place my arm horizontally, albeit faintly. What is a good way to start excercising it?

Andre,
I had a nerve graph in September 03 for bicep function hopefully! I have been doing water therapy, which I LOVE if you can love PT! It is amazing how much I can do in the water! You would think that my bicep actually worked pretty good! Out side of the water is still VERY challenging for me though! Many people have had great success with the water as it gets rid of the gravity factor completly and gives you boyancy (sp?). I would suggest giving this a try!

I don't really have access to a pool. I tried doing when I was taking a bath, but it would not work well.

By the way if Karlos is reading this, when did you start noticing anything with deltoid? In one of your previous posts you said that you started having shoulder flickers in 2-3 months, well I'm in that time frame now and still have not felt anything.

Also, when were you able to bend your arm against gravity. I can bend it horizontally.

I still cant bend mine against gravity! I can do the horizontal thing as well but not against gravity yet. I am getting a sling bit of movement but cant pick it up yet. I am 10 months past surgery. hope this helps!
