2ND ANNUAL NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PICNIC!!

WHERE: VASONA PARK IN BEAUTIFUL LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA
WHEN: AUGUST 7TH
TIME: 10AM-4PM

There will be a train ride, carousel, plenty of park space, a beautiful lake, paddle boats, and more to enjoy with your BPI friends and family. Also, I am working to get some informational workshops together for those new to the injury as well as those more veteran to the journey. More will be disclosed when I have speakers confirmed for the workshops. Unfortunately, there will not be any private consultations with physicians.

Has went through serial casting with fair results. Her arm is about a hand shorter then the other. She has limited hand function. (able to grasp) Arm stays pronated. Unable to get to neutral. She plays the trumpet, french horn, drums, guitar, and now learning piano. Has always played on a softball, and basketball team. Until recently, for fear of further injury due to the sternoclavicular subluxation. (separation of colarbone from sternum) Not sure if all this is spelled right.

Just sent this info out to the erbs coollist. It is amazing how the mailing list has grown. It currently has 293 subscribers.

Hope the picnic is a success.
Wish I could attend.

Here are a couple websites showing the new park that we are going to be at. I have reserved "Area 6" for our picnic.

These aren't the greatest, but will have to do until I can take time to go down to the park and photograph it myself.

Also, I'm working on firming up what we will be doing at the picnic. At this point I am thinking it will be very casual and more designed to just be together. I do have some speakers lined up, but I don't want to have it be all about that. I want us to have time for the kids to ride the carasoul and train.

Food is going to be hot dogs and hamburgers and I will be asking for people to donate according to what they feel their family has consumed. I'm sending this out to the e-mail group to. If your interested in this picnic, I'd really encourage you to sign up there for regular updates.

I've been able to confirm that we will have Dr. Hentz available to speak for us in the morning at the picnic. He'll spend 1/2 and hour with families who's children are under 1 year and then 1/2 an hour with families who have older children.

For more information on the picnic fill free to contact me at kari@calebscompanions.org

Ok,
So just wanted to confirm that Area 6 in Oak Meadow Park is where the group will be. Also you say that Dr. Hentz will speak in the morning to the two different age groups. Do we have a specific time, as I see the picnic is from 10-4? Only asking, as I need to motivate and dress a family of 7 and we have quite a drive to get there. And I don't want to show up and miss him. Thanks for any additional info. Looking forward to meeting all of you!!!
