Back to St. Louis

Post by Cara »

We are headed back to St. Louis Wed. for Rosalynn's 3 mo post op evaluation. Keep us in your prayers. We are very optomistic. She has made tremendous progress in the past few weeks and her therapist are hopeful that her recovery will continue as well. We had a PT drop out on us unexpectedly and are trying to find a new one. Our prayers are with all of you. For lent I am going to do devotions every night instead of giving something up. Good luck to all of you with appointments this next week.

I took Blake there last year for a second opinion(we usually go to TX, but they are closer) and I won't go back. We saw the Orthopedic Dr. there since Blake is 4 and he didn't hold back his opinions of TX aggressive approach and get this, tried to doubt that Blake was injured at birth(he tried the in-utero approach)Blake was 11lb 8 oz, I definately know that he was injured at birth. I'm sure he is probably a good doctor, I just though he would have a better level of professionalism when it came to other doctors. Maybe other people had better visits, but we went back to TX anyway...they have always improved him. Best of luck.

Rosalynn had a nerve graft done by Dr. Park. From what I understand from reading the boards is that St. Louis tends to be more conservative in their approach to treatment. we have had an absolutely wonderful experince working with them. In response to the post below, I have only met with the ortho doc breifly. He was fine toward us, I am sorry to hear you had a bad experince. He explained how their approach and view of treatment differed from TCH, but there was no bad mouthing involved.
