Anatomy book recommendations?

Anyone have any recommendations for an anatomy reference book with good detail on neuro-muscular system? We'd like to do more self-education prior to going to drs. visits and having all these medical terms thrown at us. Our doc does an excellent job of explaining, but you can only retain so much info. during these visits! Thanks!

I have found the following two books to be extremely helpful and easy to understand:

The Extremities: Muscles and Motor Points, by John Warfel

AND

The Anatomy Coloring Book, by Wynn Kapit and Lawrence Elson.

The Anatomy coloring book is designed for medical students and it really is a coloring book! But not for kids.

Both are in print and available usually at your local Borders or Barnes and Noble or you can get them on line from Amazon.

I have found Gray's Anatomy to be quite helpful.

As a PT Assistant, when in college we used the Grey's Anatomy coloring book. We had to learn all the muscles in the body which it shows (as well as tells you what nerves are associated with each muscle and what movements). I would definitely recommend it!

Addendum: My husband used Gray's Anatomy book... I used "Illustrated Essentials of Musculoskeletal Anatomy" by Sieg and Adams. It has the pictures of the muscles and information about what nerves are connected and what motions that muscle does. Thanks!
