Anyone heard of or experienced a brachial nerve injury through accupunture?
Friend had accupunture in right arm last feb. Had total paralysis, now after careful reheab back to only 70% and still frequently loses function. Neurologists conflict in diagnosis and treatment. Definitely accupuncture related as paralysis began during procedure and was complete following.
Any suggestions for further research and info very much appreciated. Friend is concert violinist.... (!)

Re: accupuncture injury
I've never had acupuncture........and I don't think I've ever heard of a bpi from it. That's kind of scary. I hope your friend is able to continue with their music. I played guitar for some 25 years, but it is very hard to make the chords now.......almost impossible without a radial splint. But.........the splint helps. It may be an option for your friend ????

Re: accupuncture injury
I can't find any mention of a similar injury through accupuncture but I am still looking.
If you have a suggestion of where to search for information, I would be grateful.
thanks

Re: accupuncture injury
holy moly
the only thing I wanted to offer is that the fact that your friend seems to have function that is "coming and going" might be a real ray of hope, I would assume it indicates that fire is still being passed thru the nerves and that there is hope for function to return,
blessings of recovery,m
