Colleen will have the pronator transfer March 4th. If anyone from this forum will be there at that time we would love to meet you!
Thank you Kathy R. for sending me pictures of your daughter with the splint. I hope she is doing well!
TCH March 4th
Re: TCH March 4th
Hi, Donna. I'm sorry to hear that Colleen will need surgery. How does she feel about it, if you don't mind me asking? Also, would you share with me please what is the goal of the surgery in her case? I ask b/c this might be something down the road for us. Also, can you tell me about the splint? Will Colleen's arm be straight out to the side? Thanks. Please tell Colleen that she'll be in our thoughts.

Hi Jennifer,
It would be nice to see a familiar face out there in the big ole' city!
Seriously now, did Dr. Nath have a chance to get back to you?

Re: TCH March 4th
Hi Tina,
Colleen is not able to supinate at all, and the pronator transfer re-routes the pronator tendon to allow this function. She is actually looking forward to the surgery because she understands that she will get better function from it. She is going to make her first communion this spring and she is excited at the prospect of being able to supinate her table hand. She is afraid of dropping the Host on the floor, which Sr. Marie has scared into them is a big no-no. (Thank you very much, Sr. Marie)
Regarding the splint; I'm not really sure if the picture Kathy sent me of her daughter will be the one they use for Colleen, because Dr. Nath says she may need the caps surgery too. When I find out I will let you know.
Colleen thanks you for your kind thoughts!

I am thining of cancelling the surgery for now if the docs agree. She hs some other development delays that need attention first.
