i am lost and confused

i really do feel like the twilight zone!!! i miss the old board and seeing the names i knew. why the change?i guess we'll get used to it.

i echo the wish of so many that others knew what BPI is all about. i wish Drs cared, and wanted what was best for us instead of battling at every turn.

i can't find a site like this one that even mentions brachial plexus injury. it is the hidden horror for people who get this as a result of (apparently) other procedures. no one wants to discuss, diagnosis, treat,acknowledge this problem.

as i told you guys, my insurance is trying to cut my throat. they went up to $500.00 per month, then went up again in 2 weeks to $733.30 per month. i really went on the defense, and they went back to $500.00 but this seems to be until next april. God only knows what they plan to do then.

it is obvious they are trying to make it so i'll have to drop out.i plan to get help to fight this.

the colder weather is really dealing me a fit!!!the mornings are the worse.well, i put alot of the things i have written before so i can see if i'll hear from the people i heard from before, i want to see if this is the same as the old site.

I think everyone is here!
Boy that stinks that your insurance is pulling that on you. Is it because all insurance went up or is it because of your injury? I still don't think they can charge more because of existing condition.
Are you in NJ?

I hope you are less confused after you try out all the trick this board can do.
The cold weather is a killer for bpi. I wake up at night and the arm and the right side of my face are freezing while the rest of me is as warm as toast...ugh you would think I would be use to it. Although I must admit I never realized that the cold was because of poor circulation on bpi side - no one ever explained it to me before I found this web site. In fact when I complained about the arm being so cold a doctor just told me to take more vitamins... anemic he said...LOL.....

Hello Madison,

I had not seen your name recently. I was not sure where you had wandered off to. Now I know you were off battling the insurance company!! You know people make comments about attorney's all the time...they should be making them about insurance companies because they are the ones that truly control us! They are really the bottom feeders! The sad part is we are at their mercy.

I think we are all going through the cold weather problem. I know I am. I have a lot of sympathy for those in the north. Put on an extra sweater or throw a scarf over the affected side. When all else fails my motto is to drink heavily! LOL

You know....it still gets my goat that they can get your money for eons in advance of any injury, and suddenly you are a "liability risk" when you file a claim. duh !!!! What a sham !!! What IS insurance anyway ? Honestly they must think it is a glorified spending account....and sadly, I think most insurance companies look at it that way. They'll sure let you pay them, but get right testy when you need something they are supposed to provide.

I feel for you Madison, and I do know what you are going through. Been there. Keep rattling the cage !! It's just not right to jack prices up after a claim. Sorry, this is a pet peeve.

Got the flu right now, so I'm back in bed. Sure hope none of them call this week.

Yup Madison it's the same old board. It just feels intimidating at first. Have you talked to a lawyer about your insurance ? Sounds like discrimination to me ? Last I heard that was illegal ?

Yeah winter sux. I hate the cold and my hand feels like ice. Good for scaring people though. They think it's dead er something. Haha peeps are funny.
